Meet our bride and groom: Andrea and Michael
"Mikey and I briefly met on a February night in 2019 at Track 5 in the Hard Rock Casino. He was introduced to me by a couple of mutual friends, but after telling me I needed a new ball cap (I was wearing my OSU Cowboys hat) - I continued along my way that night. Quite honestly, I wasn't looking to meet anyone at that time. However, 2 weeks later I had went out to Track 5 to see Jason Boland play and the first person I met saw was none other than Michael Byford. He immediately asked me to dance and as my friend grabbed my drink - he swept me off to the dance floor for a little 2-stepping to Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey." We chatted for a while that evening until his friends were ready to leave, but never asked for my phone number. A little bit later, he was texting our mutual friend asking how to get a hold of me. I ended up texting him off of my phone and we've pretty much been together since!"
"I had been skimming through wedding venues and came across Greenleaf Barn and immediately fell in love with everything about it. We then had 2 very close friends get married there in September 2019, so I got to see it a little closer. I knew at that point that THIS was where we were going to get married. We loved the country feel and seclusion from the city."
"I love the simple country look, so honestly the barn provided so much more than I could imagine. I didn't really add too much decor other than personal touches to the tables."
"I don't really know if I can just pick one absolute favorite part of the day other than just the process itself. My entire atmosphere was relaxed and exciting. My bridesmaids commented several times that I had to be the most relaxed bride they had seen - at one point in time, I was sitting with my legs propped up in the bridal suite."
"We chose to go fairly simple throughout with our decor since Greenleaf Barn offers so much beauty. Our flowers came from my hometown florist - I gave them my color choices which were wine and navy with hints of blush and rose gold. From there, I just allowed them to work with their creativity and I honestly LOVED my bouquet. I went with winter color choices especially since February is the month of "Love."
"Some of our personal touches that are sentimental were the gold ruby ring that I wore on my right hand was my Nana's who passed away in 2007. My Grandpa (who has since passed away) gave it to me when I graduated from Nursing school in 2013. I also had a brooch on my bouquet when I walked down the aisle that was a family heirloom on Mikey's side."
"I look back at our day and it was just really stress-free and relaxing. We were able to take in so many memories with our friends and family and really enjoy the process."
"Mikey says his favorite part of the day was watching me walk down the aisle and just being in awe."
"Our cake continued with the simple farm vibe as it was a naked cake with fresh flowers. We further encompassed our love for sprint cars and our son's race car with the groom's cake."
"We wanted our guests to be WOW-ed during our reception - we wanted it to be the party to be at. We had a lot of compliments from friends and family regarding the flow of events and the fun they had helping us celebrate our very special day!"
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Byford!
